"...A New Beginning"

The Installers have been rockin' people in clubs around New England for more than ten years. Like any band, they've gone through good times and bad. They've played with some of the best: Roomful of Blues, Duke Robilard, and Sugar Ray Norcia, just to name a few. They also had the privilege to play alongside Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Jay Geils, who joined them for a handful of shows over the past several years including Westford's annual Blues N' Brews festival and a New Year's Eve show that nearly took the roof off The Bull Run Restaurant! During the recording of their highly acclaimed release "Nail It" (produced by Jay Geils) they lost original member Barry Callahan (rhythm and lead guitar), but gained the highly talented Shawn McCann (key boards) who fit in nicely with the established veterans.

2007 brought with it additional changes to the band's line up. Barry Callahan rejoined the band, making his presence known by re-injecting the powerful rhythmic assault that he originally brought to the band nearly a decade ago. With the band now enjoying their full line up and"In Your Face" dynamic sound, they headlined at the '07 Blues N' Brews festival with a set that left the sold out crowd screaming for more. Near the end of 2007 the band suffered the departure of original member Marc Rines (bass guitar). Marc played an important part in developing that "In Your Face" sound that helped launch the band into the level of success they've enjoyed for the last 10 years, and we wish him luck in his future musical endeavors.

They say change can be exciting, and though losing Marc was difficult the band was quickly able to gain a new bassist: John Bruner. Playing bass guitar his whole life, with a degree in music, lessons from Frank Gallagher of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and playing with "Eastwood Peak" and the "Kieran McNally Band", John's addition to the band will certainly add to the dynamic sound that put The Installers in the rockin' blues universe that fans adore.

With the blistering sound The Installers pose, the line up of Stephen Clarke vocals, Kevin Visnaskis lead, rhythm guitar, Barry Callahan Lead rhythm guitar, Shawn McCann keyboards), Jim Burns Drums, congas   and John Bruner Bass guitar.  2008 promises to be a fantastic year for the band. They say change can be good - with the changes and additions the band has endured I'd say it'll be fantastic.
